Activities Beyond the Classroom

At Hardesty Public Schools, learning extends far beyond the classroom. We are committed to providing a wide variety of extracurricular activities that inspire students to discover their passions, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lasting friendships. Whether through athletics, FFA, clubs, fine arts, or academic organizations, every student has the opportunity to explore new interests, develop important life skills, and become an active, engaged member of our school community.

Student Council and NHS

Student Council

Hardesty Public Schools' Student Council allows students to develop leadership skills while making a positive impact on their school and community. Student Council members help plan school events, organize service projects, promote school spirit, and serve as leaders among their peers. Students who demonstrate responsibility, leadership, and a desire to serve their school are encouraged to participate. Student Council is open to eligible students in grades 9-12 through the school's selection or election process.

National Honor Society (NHS)

The National Honor Society (NHS) recognizes students who excel in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. At Hardesty Public Schools, NHS members are committed to academic excellence while serving their school and community through volunteer projects and leadership opportunities. Eligible students in grades 10–12 who meet the school's academic requirements and demonstrate strong character, leadership, and a commitment to service may be invited to apply for membership according to the chapter's selection process.
